    Fabulous Gem in walking distance to the Plaza. The building is a gorgeous piece of Taos & New Mexico's unique style. When I rented both places, I didn't realize it was completely separate so you have to go outside. Wonderful private outside place.

    The rental was fantastic, it had more than enough room for our ski trip. All amenities were covered, Cherry was immediately responsive to any questions and the location was perfect – walking distance to all the Taos shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again, great vibes!

    The Blue Elk Casa is in a perfect location for enjoying the heart of Taos. It's also comfortable, well-appointed and we loved hanging out in the hot tub on a chilly evening. We rented both the upstairs and downstairs and it was perfect for our group of 8 adults!

    We loved the inside of this rental. The southwest style is beautifully done and we were very comfortable. The inside was very clean but the windows and outdoor areas were not so clean. Also, the upstairs unit smelled like gas and we discovered that the valve on one of the fireplaces was on just a tiny bit. When we opened a window to air out the unit the window fell apart. I would recommend this unit with reservations.

    We enjoyed out stay very much. House was clean and quiet. In the Upstairs Apartment, the Ceiling Fan doesn't work, Kitchen light didn't work, and more than one wash cloth is needed in the bathroom. Downstairs the coffee pot must need cleanina, takes an hour to perk, and the ground fault in the kitchen didn't work.

    We completely enjoyed this rental. Adobe style and charm. Beautifully maintained and cared for. Star gazing from upper floor deck was amazing along with cool mornings in the private hottub. 1 block to all the shopping and dining Taos has to offer.

    We had a great stay! 4 couples with plenty of room to spread out. It was nice having 2 separate units to give some privacy. Both outdoor spaces were fantastic although the upstairs outdoor furniture was much more comfortable. The AC on the main level was not working during our stay, it was definitely quite warm but we managed ok. Fantastic location, walking to town center to shop and eat. We would stay here again when returning to area.

    We couldn't ask for a better location or a more friendly host. The hot tub was a wonderful amenity and we appreciated the privacy of it. When the garbage disposal broke, maintenance was there the same day to get it fixed. The downside is that we did not know that the property we rented didn't connect on the interior, which made our 4 bdrm 3 bth rental a 2 bdrm, 1 bth and a 2 bdrm 2 bth - not ideal for a family. The units were well appointed, but lacked in cleanliness. The dust and dander left behind made for some miserable allergies during our stay, and I would encourage your cleaning crew to also look in drawers and cupboards as every dish we took out to use were put away dirty (presumably by a previous guests) and needed washed before we could use them - not the host's fault, but still an inconvenience.

    We had a great stay at the Blue Elk. The location was prime to walk around the plaza and go to a concert at the park. Definitely would stay again. Only downside was the kitchen utensils and dishware seemed to be a bit old and dirty.

    We had a great stay at the Blue Elk Casa. I worried that the up and down units would split my group up too much but the downstairs living space is large enough for everyone to hang out, which was great. And being a 1-block walk to town was wonderful.

    Nice house. Parking was a bit difficult. Mattresses (at least my mattress) were too soft. Glasses could be modernized (wine glasses, less plastic). Fireplace didn't work. The keys are poorly cut and locking and unlocking is a challenge.
    However, the complaining is on a higher level. We had a great time.

    It was a family experience with our kin from Ohio. We rented both levels of the Casa. So many little spaces to sit and chill. Our caretaker, Linda, was excellent. The main area had difficulty with the fan on the AC and Linda promptly called together the techs that solved the problem. I stayed in the upper levels with part of the group and loved the space. The upper outside area was very special for all of us in the evening for games and much laughter. We would all come back to this place again.

    We rented both the up and down Blue Elk Casa which worked out perfectly for guests as they could have some privacy. The home is beautiful and there is ample space- the photos do not do it justice. The location is perfect for enjoying walking to the plaza and restaurants. My only complaint is the furnaces are very loud if you are there in the winter. There are multiple extra blankets provided. The hot tub is wonderful!

    There were five of us and we rented both floors. The two patios were excellent hang out spots -- the top in the morning for coffee; the bottom for grilling and the hot tub. Bedrooms were private and well appointed; the kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Two blocks from Taos Plaza and the Harwood and Blumenschein Museums, in the heart of the historic district. Grocery stores within a couple of miles, and easy access to highways and scenic drives. This is a great choice if you want to be together with an option for privacy.Property manager was very responsive.

    This property was the perfect fit for our family get together for my 70th birthday! We had the comfort of 2 separate but related dwellings which allowed us privacy and lovely group space with the hot tub and upper patio. The proximity to the Plaza was the very best too! Everyone could stroll and shop as they wished. No driving needed for many sights. We had such a nice relaxed visit. The hot tub was a real plus after hiking and white water rafting. Could not have had a better time. We love Taos!

    We’ve been to Taos many times over the years as my maternal grandparents built a cabin in Taos Canyon and spent every summer there until they passed away. We still enjoy Taos and visit occasionally now but we have to stay in a hotel or find a rental. My niece and her family met us in Taos and we were very happy with the Blue Elk Casa. The downstairs was super nicely decorated and furnished. The upstairs was pretty nice and worked perfectly for 2 families wanting to stay together. The house was very private and the courtyard was so pretty and nicely landscaped. The location was EXCELLENT! We were a bit concerned about parking on the street, but it worked fine. No problems at all. We’ll check on availability next time we plan a trip to Taos.

    This property exceeded our expectations and was one of the most enjoyable rental properties we've stayed in. The location could not be beat and the property was quiet despite being so close to the plaza. We did not move our car once we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped, the hot tub was great and well maintained, the garden in the courtyard was blooming and such a nice place to relax. The only slight negative was some of the furniture is worn, but overall very comfortable. Loved all of the details that went into this home. We would love to come back.

    This was our first time visiting Taos and this part of NM. It is very beautiful, and there are a lot of fun activities.
    The Blue Elk Casa is a very nice property, with plenty of beds, bathrooms, and a variety of common areas. We found it to be in very good condition and well appointed. The bonus is its proximity to the historic district, shops, and restaurants. Everything you need is within walking distance.
    We would definitely stay here again.

    Everything about our stay was perfect! We were a group of 5 with two dogs and had MORE than enough room to spread out (realistically this place could easily hold 8 adults without feeling the slightest bit cramped). The location to town, the ski resort, hiking, groceries, etc. simply could not be beat and our group all agreed we would be overjoyed to stay here for future trips.

    A group of us stayed here for a ski vacation. What a great little property! Walking distance to the plaza and just about everything you need. Within 30-45 min from most of the ski resorts. Property was clean and nicely appointed. We rented both the upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs is a separate unit from downstairs, so a good option for multiple families traveling together.
    Customer service was excellent! We felt right at home at the property, and would absolutely stay here again.

    We stayed here for our family Thanksgiving vacation. It was perfect for our family of eight adults and two children. The lower level has a great room with a nice gas fireplace and comfortable furniture around the hearth that flows into the dining and kitchen areas as well as two bedroom suites. One has to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to a bathroom but that was not a problem for our family. The kitchen was small but adequate and very well stocked. It was not clear to me from the description that the upstairs is a completely separate unit that one must go outside to access. That was not a problem for us, just something to be aware of. Even with snow on the ground and very cold temps, the walk to the Taos plaza was an easy two blocks where you can visit shops, galleries, and restaurants. The Sipapu ski resort is about a half-hour away.

    We stayed with family at this location which is only a few blocks from shopping and restaurants. It was very comfortable with a private patio with a hot tub.     Our weekend at Blue Elk was seamless. The property was in excellent condition and very clean. It had plenty of space for our 3-generation family of 7, using both the up and down units. The beds were better than many we’ve found with other rentals. It was ideally located so family members could come and go to the plaza, restaurants and galleries without always traveling in a pack. We were particularly pleased with Premiere Properties. They provided excellent service during the reservation process and in preparation for our visit. We had one problem during the visit, when one of the grandkids locked us out of the upstairs unit on Friday night, after hours. We left a message for the housekeeper as we left for dinner and there was an extra key in the lockbox by the time we returned. We couldn’t have been happier. I highly recommend this property.

    Overall a nice property with well equipped kitchen(s) and nice bed linens, located in a great central Taos location. Carpets were a bit dirty and the hot tub odor was somewhat disagreeable. But for four guys, these were not of primary importance and if we had reported them to management it seems they would have been taken care of, as they were responsive to other requests. Our biggest issue: the property should NOT be advertised as a four bedroom house. It's actually two duplexes that have separate entrances requiring a trip outside from each to access the other and involving a somewhat complicated key situation. A disappointment for a group of four friends who wanted to spend time together.

    Some girlfriends and I rented both the upstairs and downstairs units for a girls' getaway. We couldn't have been happier. Very comfortable beds.     We had a spectacular time in Taos especially at the Blue Elk Casa. We had three couples and rented the Casa up & down. This gave plenty of room for everyone to have a king size bed and their own bathroom. The Casa is beautiful, clean beyond my picky expectations and fully stocked with everything you could possibly imagine. The hot tub was clean and wonderful. Everything worked and was just exactly as described. It was within walking distance to Kit Carson City Park where our Songwriter's Festival was held. Parking was provided off-site at a nearby church and our vehicles were safe. The management company was over-the-top helpful and genuinely wanted us to have a great time~~which we did!! Thank you to all involved, it made for A+ memories for all of us!!

    We were a family of 8 - each couple had their own room. Two couples had to share a bathroom, kitchens a bit small - but lots of places to eat out! Terrific house; great outdoor space; enjoyed the hot tub. Location was fabulous! Only recommendation would be to upgrade the water heater; and repair a broken turn out window in the upstairs back bedroom.

    We loved spending a week at the Blue Elk Casa. The house was clean, comfortable and decorated great. There was seven of us. We had great areas to be together and still had private space in the bedrooms. We cooked in a lot. Although the kitchen is on the small side, it had every appliance, dishes, glasses, kitchen and BBQ tools that we needed. We were impressed! The location is awesome - a five minute walk to the Plaza! We highly recommend this property.

    This rental was absolutely perfect for our family vacation!!! The house was roomy and very had such an at home feel we all felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. The outside patios were perfect for evening gatherings and the upstairs became our spot for our “game nights” together! The location made it easy to walk to everything....the square, lots of shopping, and even within walking distance of a local grocery store. We didn’t need our cars much during our stay, but parking outside the house was never a problem either when we did. I highly recommend Blue Elk Casa as a perfect vacation getaway spot!!!

    The location is great for both walking to the Taos Plaza and driving to all the sites.

    My family of 4 adults rented the entire house. Way more room than we needed but what a treat! Loved the space and especially the courtyard. Great spot for morning coffee, reading, visiting and evening relaxing in hot tub. So close to plaza, shops, dining. The house was a great place to gather with other family who were also visiting Taos. Furniture was comfortable and we lived how the house was decorated. Everything you need is here.     Blue Elk was a perfect property for our family meet up in Taos! Downstairs featured 2 large bedrooms each with private baths, large dinner table, equipped kitchen plus large family room with fireplace for everyone to gather. The courtyard was very private and the hot tub was used every night...even in the snow! We combined the upstairs with 2 bedrooms, small kitchen and large family room and dining area! Lovely, sunny seated area at the top of the stairs opens to an open terrace! Tons of living spaces to spread out! However, we all gathered downstairs! Literally around the corner from Taos square! My son and his wife are already planning a ski trip with several couples and their kids! We will be back!

    We went for a week at Christmas and loved Blue Elk. We don't want to drive much in snow, so it was great to be a block away from the plaza with lots of restaurants, shops and museums. Would definitely stay again. We were a group ranging from ten to twelve people and it was big enough to hang out together comfortably. Can't say enough good about the whole experience!

    Overall a great stay with a location very close to the historic Taos. The place is really two separate apartments each with 2 bdrms. Each apartment has a separate entrance and no inner connections. Both clean and stylish, the downstairs nicer than upstairs. Only real problem were the neighbors who stayed up blasting music one night and kept their place looking like a dump with garbage and used appliances rusting outside.

    Our family met family friends in Taos for a long weekend. We rented this place and it worked out perfectly. The grown ups stayed downstairs in the large bedrooms. There was a lovely common area with a fireplace and comfy leather sofas. There was a lot of natural light inside.
    The patio was a nice size. The hot tub accommodated all who wanted to soak (which was all of us at different times). The kitchen is apartment sized but had everything we needed to make many meals.
    The children stayed upstairs out of the way. They watched tv, played games etc. the rooms and balcony upstIrs we're not sly decorated and comfortable.
    The location is great. We walked around the block for New Mexican food one and to El Gamal, a vegetarian, Mediterranean, fantastic restaurant. We browsed the shops and galleries at our leisure most days. Hiking and Whit water rafting, of course are also nearby by car.
    The care taker was helpful and prompt. We told her we planned to grill and she ensured we had propane.
    I wouldn't hesitate to rent here again in the future and would highly recommend this to others.

    The Blue Elk Casa was very close to the Plaza and we could walk to great shops and excellent restaurants. Parking was a problem because a junk truck took up a parking space on the street. A few times we had to park around the block. The split building has it's advantages and disadvantages.

    We used both the upper and lower parts of the casa, and there was more than enough room for all six of us UNM women grads during our reunion. The location was so close to everything and that was a real plus. We were able to park our cars in the nearby church parking lot, and rarely used them. It was a short walk to the Taos Inn where we listened to music most nights and to the plaza for shopping and music on Thursday night. The Pueblo and museums were a short drive away. The casa was completely enclosed and private. It was quiet and very peaceful both inside and outside on the patio. Being near the plaza, having a bathroom for every bedroom, and having internet were priorities. The hot tub was a bonus! The description and pictures on the website were completely accurate. The property manager was very efficient in bringing a new table when we alerted her that the table leg was broken. The other furniture seemed to be in good condition. I gave 4 stars for maintenance because some windows didn't close completely (it's an old building!) but the compound was locked and secure, so that wasn't an issue. I would definitely plan another get-together there.

    We visited in July during Festival weekend to participate in a clinic for Roller Derby. There were 9 of us and the house accommodated our needs quite well. The separate upstairs/downstairs style set up allowed for a more quiet setting while allowing us to visit and eat together. The hot tub is great and comfortably sat 6 and we found everything we needed to be available. The house is within walking distance to some great shops and the plaza and we will come back!

    This place was a wonderful respite and very private despite the location. The garden and hot tub were well used, and the barbecue came in handy for a Saturday meal. The t.v. equipment was dated and hard to figure out, but you are a loser if you are watching a lot of t.v. in Taos! ;-) Get a life and go up in the mountains or something.

    A fun place to stay; really ideal location if you want to be near the square in Taos. One end of house was cold while other hot but management brought in heater which solved problem. Never could get oven to work but did not call management for help. Music often blared in at 6-7AM from outside.
    Hot tub was great fun in the snow. Appreciated having firewood provided.
    Accommodated 8 adults and 3 children.
    Had no problem parking 3 cars. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend to anyone.
