Casa Miguel - A wonderful place to stay in Arroyo Seco/Taos

We stayed at Casa Miguel for the Christmas holiday for about 10 days. It is an absolutely ideal location if your group has both skiers and non-skiers, which ours did. The property is simply lovely, the decor very New Mexican, and the master suite sublime. The kitchen is well appointed though small, and we used the beautiful central fireplace nonstop (when we weren't gazing out the picture window at the mountains or enjoying the same fantastic view from the big hot tub out back). The property management company was very reponsive to our requests (and we had many alterations leading to the final dates of reservation).
Our only recommendations:
The mattresses (non-master) could use an update - the queen seemed worn and was quite uncomfortable (especially after a long day skiing). Also, the housekeeper could/should be more accessible - we spoke before our arrival and she was kind enough to get the home ready for an early arrival, but we had questions about trash etc which weren't answered until we left, and there was also maintenance scheduled to be done on applicances/hot tub without our notification, which we found disconcerting, to have men show up at the door without our prior knowledge.
In summary, a beautiful home, gorgeous inside and out, and a great place to enjoy all that you can in the Taos area.
