    House is well positioned off Hondo-Seco Rd. in Arroyo Seco. Two nice bedrooms with a bath for each. Plenty of room for two couples. Kitchen has everything you need. Washer/dryer provided. Plenty of parking in front of house. The back patio was my favorite place. I enjoyed the rain on the roof as well. The view from the couch is lovely as well. Caretaker Denise Neal was very helpful as were Tanya and Gary in the main office. I’d stay here again in a flash. Premier Properties has always done an outstanding job for me.

    We have rented this home at lease 12 times and
    Love it. BUT lately it seems it needs some extra attention. A living room chair needs replacement (fraux leather flaking badly), the patio view had been closed off due to overgrowth, the hot tub has lime build up and is very uncomfortable to sit in (rough spiked barbs cover the bottom and sides), the entrance road has huge pot holes, and the front loading washer smells awful and won’t complete a cycle unless a manual correction is made
    On each load. These tend to take away from our excitement in spending g our vacation here.

    This was our second stay at this lovely, comfortable, well-stocked, and well-maintained property — and we enjoyed it just as much this time as we did on our first visit! We like the beautiful mountain views and all the large windows that bring in the light and fresh air. The kitchen is well-stocked and is a great place to prepare a meal while interacting with others. It would be nice to have another comfortable chair in the living room, but we brought a couple of large folding camp chairs with us this time so we made it work for our group. Taos Cow and ACEQ restaurant are just down the road so you don’t have to travel far to get good food for breakfast, lunch, ice cream, and dinner. We hope to be able to rent this house again the next time we are visiting family in Taos!

    Overall, had an excellent stay at Alto Vallecito. Nice home in close proximity to both Taos and the ski area. Only negative is the driveway. Low profile vehicle would have problems with potholes.

    We have stayed in MANY homes in the Taos area. By far this is our favorite, and we keep returning. It's the perfect distance to walk in the morning to Sol Market for breakfast. It's minutes from Taos proper and the Ski Valley. The house is so private, and it makes you feel like the only people on earth. The home is well-kept and very clean. We will book here again and again. We have one small snafu with the home manager this time, but it was resolved quickly. It's a must-stay for smaller families or two couples. The only change I would make (and I ask this of every VRBO-type home) is that they use a free and clear detergent. The perfumed linens are overbearing and not environmentally friendly.

    Gorgeous home! A full equipped kitchen fit for a chef. Fantastic layout for privacy and tranquility. Outdoor dining in the backyard and a hot tub to finish the evening. Less than 15 mins away from the ski valley. Will book again and again.

    Alto Vallecito is a beautifully designed, well kept, modern and comfortable house with everything needed for a great stay in the Taos area! Nice views and privacy. Portions of the dirt drive leading to the house are pretty rough, even with a large SUV, but drive slowly and you will be rewarded when you reach this lovely property..

    Alto Vallecito is a super comfortable, very clean and well maintained house. It is walking distance to the little village of Arroyo Seco and a short drive to either Taos or the ski valley. Whip up delicious meals in the well equipped kitchen or dine out in Taos or Arroyo Seco. The views from just about every window are gorgeous. Check in/out was seamless and the property manager was super responsive in taking care of one small issue (a smoke detector that needed a new battery). Highly recommended for a family stay or for two couples.

    Awesome! Clean property. Walking distance to Arroyo Seco foods and shopping. 20 Minutes to Taos Ski Valley, 15 minutes to Taos Plaza and 45 minutes gets you to Red River. Coyotes and prairie dogs run maintenance in the field behind.

    Very convenient location to a lot of the hikes and scenic drives that we had planned. Fantastic view of the mountains from all the rooms. Very accommodating for two couples as the BR/BA combinations are at opposite ends of the house and each have their own wonderful views. Enjoyed the outdoor patio and the hot tub. Found the walk-through office area very useful as one of us had to call in to several business meetings during our stay. Glad we had a high-enough clearance vehicle to navigate the dirt gravel road’s dips (though most passenger vehicles could make it in dry weather). Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

    We very much enjoyed staying at Alto Vallecito. The property was very clean, cozy and private. This home would accommodate two couples very well, with lots of space and privacy. We spent every morning in the hot tub watching the sun come up before a day of fly fishing. The kitchen is well stocked for all cooking purposes. The views from every room are fabulous, and the patio garden was perfect for breakfasts and dinners. There are little bunnies and prairie dogs everywhere that greet you every time you enjoy the outdoors. This is walking distance from our fave spots, Sol Food and Aceq. We give this home five stars and would stay again and again.

    Our only cons: The pillows were worn and need to be replaced. If you are picky about your pillow, bring one from home. The other issue (but this has been a recurring one for us while traveling) is the highly perfumed detergent used for the bedding and towels. For people like me, that have CIRS and autoimmune issues, perfumes make me very ill. We always recommend to homeowners / grounds keepers to use biodegradable free and clear detergents for those of us that are extremely sensitive.

    Love the property Have spent our Anniversary in same home for 11 straight years. Home and appliances were new when we began so some items need maintenance or replacing (Bosch front loading washer) Have reported a bad odor two years ago - still there and we tried to clean ourselves. Washer won't complete cycle automatically and the repair route taken by owners is to add note with instructions on how to manually complete the cycle. It won't keep us from future bookings though - just an inconvenience when you're out having fun. Also some of the window cranks need repair. Hopefully addressed by next time.

    We came down from Denver for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. This home is a great location to use as a base. We spent time in both the ski Valley as well as in the town of Taos. The house has two great master suites, a well-equipped kitchen, and a nice outdoor seating area to watch the mountains over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. We love Arroyo Seco, and being able to walk into town for ice cream or dinner is an added perk of this location.

    Overall the property was lovely. Great location, town and views of the mountains. Only issue was the managements arrival cleanliness of the property was a bit below standards (hair in master bath shower, fireplace full of embers) and the hot tub was not functioning properly.     Alto Vallecito is a very beautiful property. The house is really thoughtfully designed and we loved being there. Escaping Texas in August for a place where we could wake up with the windows open and a chill in the air was wonderful.

    The house is a strange combination of great things and sort of weird things - very comfortable beds and linens, a lovely hot tub, excellent cooking tools and a beautiful kitchen. Plenty of room for the 4 of us, great book collection and puzzles and games, and space for the 20-somethings to retreat and stay up late listening to music in the other end of the house while we went to bed. In many ways it's an ideal place.

    We were there for 2 weeks, which I imagine is longer than many of the tenants. After about 6 days we were running low on toilet paper (and the cheapest toilet paper you can imagine), kleenex, paper towels, etc. I contacted the caretaker and was told that those items were only included initially as a courtesy and we would have to purchase additional items. I thought that was just so odd. We've literally rented dozens and dozens of places over the years and never had this happen. Whatever, no big deal - we just bought some with our next grocery run, but it left a weird taste in our mouth.

    Oh, and the coffee maker. I have to mention it because it seems to come up in many reviews. It works and the coffee tastes good, but it takes absolutely forever to brew a full pot and is the cheapest coffee maker you can purchase. I also thought that was strange, given how many other items in the kitchen were truly top-notch.

    Like I said, it's a beautiful place and we loved being there. But I think a management company that cheaps out on hospitality items when renters are paying handsome sums to rent is a strange corner-cutting strategy, and it backfires to some extent. Additionally, I contacted the caretaker to ask a few questions at checkout and never heard back from her. I rarely leave anything but a glo

    The house is large and impeccably maintained. We stayed as a family of 4. As the reviews mention, the bedrooms are way across the house from each other so the kids could be noisy without us hearing it. There is a small yard that they could play in the snow. Taos Ski Valley is 20 minutes away. It is a bit of a remote location with minimal restaurant and grocery options in town, so be prepared for that. The kitchen is well stocked so it is not a problem to prepare your own dinner after skiing. I would recommend 4WD as you have to a bit of driving on a dirt road which gets very muddy in the snow. The best part was 360 views of the surrounding mountains with amazing sunsets every night. We will stay here again.

    This house was fantastic. The views are worth every moment there. Quiet, warm, comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. It is a great house for two couples--bedrooms widely separated with individual bathrooms. The hot tub was lovely. Go eat at LaCueva--always my favorite Mexican place. One caution for anyone with a low-clearance car. It snowed a bunch and then was windy (drifted snow) and the driveway was pretty difficult for a Prius getting out. No problem for the Subaru Crosstrek.

    Alto Vallecito is an awesome property! Spectacular views, comfortable beds, great layout, convenient location, particularly for skiing. We were especially happy with the heated floors. Basic supplies (salt, butter, paper towels) were all there, which cuts down on waste. Awesome place!
    Notes: please change the lightbulbs which are out, and the tv remote needs batteries.

    Overall we were very pleased with our experience. It’s a perfect home for two couples with two master bedrooms and two baths. The setting was peaceful and the views were exceptional out of all the room windows.
    Only two critiques: a very annoying coffee maker that should be replaced and the lack of communication with the housekeeper the day of arrival asking when we might enter the home and where the key might be found.

    Have used this property 7 times. Enjoy it very much. However, attention to small details is missing. Such as: leftover salad dressing and oils were out of date for 6 months to a year; salt and pepper shakers were empty and no refills in stock; and the dryer needs to be reset to spin an extra cycle because two towel and wash cloth small load was dripping wet. Concrete floor could use a through mopping.

    This was our first time to use a rental by owner. The house and experience were awesome. At first, I was a little concerned with the location but it turned out to be ok.     We booked the home for a week of sking at Taos. This upscale home was comfortable, well-supplied and a joy to spend a week in. The views from the window were picturesque and the bedrooms were positioned to offer privacy to the occupants. My son and his wife enjoyed the hot tub and we all enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen. It's close to Aroyo Seco with a wonderful restaurant and a short drive to Taos, with interesting shopping and great food. Would definitely return! My only suggestion is provide the coordinates for to make it easier to find on maps apps.

    We loved everything about this house. Check in was so easy, we got to meet Jackie and she was so helpful. House was clean and totally stocked. We have stayed in a ton on VRBO's and this one was the best stocked. Had simple things like seasonings, oils, foil, etc. that made cooking so easy. The arrangement was perfect for us and our 2 kids, and the view was amazing. Not one thing to complain about. Hope to be back soon.

    We loved Alto Vallecito for our family of 5. The interior was much nicer than the pictures! We especially loved the concrete floors and large walk-in shower. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire place after skiing each day. The kitchen was well equipped for eating in after a long day of skiing. The open space around the house makes for great views! The house was a quick 15 minute drive to Ski Valley and conveniently close to Arroyo Seco. The property manager, Jackie, was very helpful throughout our stay.

    We booked into Alto Vallecito for 7 nights. We chose this rental for it's views, size, and location. As wonderful as the website photos illustrated the home, our expectations were far exceeded immediately upon arrival. The picture windows throughout the home had us staring endlessly at the mountains. Super clean inside and out. Quiet and serene. We have always been happy with our rentals in Taos. But this one was different. This home surpasses them all.

    WE were enchanted by Alto Vallecito. The house was spotless,and so comfortable, and the ample views were a sheer delight. The short walk to "Seco" and the coffee shop there made the location even more perfect. We would love to return some day!

    Alto Vallecito is exactly as pictured - well appointed, clean, in a beautiful location, and very private.     Alto Vallecito which I think means "high little valley" is a totally welcoming place to relax and absorb the beauty and serenity that is Taos. The views are spectacular, the accommodations address everything needed for a perfect far as things to do, we always hike the Red River basin, go to a museum or two, the Harwood portrait exhibit happening now is excellent, Lambert's on the patio for dinner is the best though would never leave without spending time at Sobroso. We use the North End Health club which takes Silver Sneakers and so is no charge if you are a member. They have both an indoor and outdoor pool. We will be back in the fall. Just can never get enough of Taos. We plan to stay at Alto Vellicto again.

    Second visit to Arroyo Seco, first stay at Alto Vallecito. House is very nicely done - well built, well decorated and spectacular views. We had 4 adults and 2 children in our group. The house is situated on several acres of land which worked out great for the kids being able to play outside. Taos Ski Valley is easy to get to at just a 15 minute drive up the mountain. Lots of shopping and restaurants in Taos and a few in Arroyo Seco. Fantastic hiking just a 5 minute drive up the road. Would highly recommend this home for a small group. We will keep this on our list of places to return to in the future. Thanks for a great stay!!

    Coming in from a long 9.5 hr drive into Taos, we were greeted with the fantastic adobe masterpiece. It provided an instant comfort of home. The warm floors were a cozy detail coming in from a long day out in the freezing cold. The hot tub was perfect for soothing sore muscles from tackling the mountain each day. All in all, we all were very happy with the home. The pictures did not do it justice. We fully intend to be repeat guests for future ventures in Taos.

    My family and I absolutely love this home. We recently stayed for a second time after about 2 and a half years in between stays. We loved it as much if not more this time. During our first stay, we only had one toddler with us. This time we had two kids (ages 2 and 4) and they had a fantastic time as well. The views are spectacular. The layout of the home is superb. The hot tub is an added bonus. Seriously, if you're deciding between this home and somewhere else, choose this one! You won't be disappointed!

    Nice home. Great view on mountains. No a/c so can get warm in July if no rain. Terribly ugly entrance with trashy mobile home and loose dog to pass. Usually reliable wifi. Nothing worked this year. Thought it was our devices but property manager there fifth day of seven to finally pick up previous renter recycling and said they had had trouble and a new modem was "on order". Really? You can get them at WalMart. Plan to rent again at this time.

    Perfect location near arroyo seco! We stayed here to be centrally located between the ski valley and Taos. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, the house is more beautiful than pictured. Unobstructed view of the mountain is lovely. Also appreciated that we could park in the garage every night to avoid clearing snow off the car in the morning.

    Beautiful well appointed Taos style home was a real joy. Loved the large windows for star and mountain viewing. I`m a music lover and enjoyed the stereo system, as we purchased several CD`s at Michael Hearne`s Big Barn Dance. Kitchen was well appointed. We did not use hot tub. Grill was great for hamburgers and steaks. We will visit Taos again and use Premiere Properties. P.S.

    My husband and I took his elderly parents out for a week of relaxation and exploration. A beautiful, clean and well appointed house! It is out of town and that is one of the reason's we liked it so much! Quiet and surrounded by beauty! The house was set up with EVERYTHING we needed! I had to work while I was there so the office (with printer) was perfect. My husband swears the owner has to be his long lost brother due to the extensive library content. The only issue I had was almost zero cell phone coverage. Thank you for sharing your lovely home! We would love to come back again.

    My friend and I spent a relaxing 4 day weekend at the beautiful Alto Vallecito. The house is open, roomy, beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. I would have been happy just staying in the entire weekend. The only issue with the house was the dryer kept turning off before clothes/towels were dry. The other issue that came up was the property manager had us scheduled to arrive on the wrong day. Fortunately, she was there cleaning prior to our arrival and it all worked out okay.

    The house was beautiful. It was perfect for 2 couples. There were wonderful views out every window and the hot tub was a welcome retreat after skiing. The location provides easy access to both town and the ski valley. The house was clean and had wonderful ammenities including plenty of books and games. Jackie, the property manager was extremely helpful to ensure we had a enjoyable stay! The 5 feet of snow we got in the ski valley didn't hurt either! Highly recommend this house.

    Very nice place overall. We stay in a lot of rentals and this one was one of the nicest. Things that should be addressed are coffee maker should be replaced as it took 1 hr to brew coffee and critters got into the BBQ which made it not usable.

    Rise and Shine with Incredible Mountain Views

    Just a few minutes outside the town of Arroyo Secco, this stunning house is a shear delight.

    The views from the living room and outside deck are more beautiful than pictures can express. Javelina, rabbit, humming birds, and butterflies grace the house and its regional-inspired garden during the summer.

    Taos Ski Valley is minutes up the road. The owners have a helpful selection of guidebook that help you plan a quick hike or a longer trek.

    Taos, Taos Pueblo, the Rio Grande Gourge are down the road a bit. Whether you're heading to the Taos Mesa Brewing or a familiar Plaza institution, the drive is quick and easy. A walk to Abe's Cantina for a local treat is a must, and you can burn off the calories from the Taos Cow ice cream on your way back home.

    This place is a great find and a wonderful vacation home.

    We have used this property around the July 4th weekend for two consecutive years to celebrate our anniversary. Plan to do so again! It's quiet and convenient for our needs. Entrance is a bit bumpy, but we have a Jeep. Very clean and well equipped. Caretaker is attentive and responsive (thank you Jackie). Always hate leaving for home.
    Premiere is the best property management company we have found. Honest, easy to work with. Have used them for 5 years in Taos. Three different properties - all of them great homes.

    We loved this house!! Very private and slightly off the beaten path, but a great location to enjoy both Taos ski area and the town of Taos (and Arroyo Seco too). It is a perfect house for one or two couples or a family with a split floorplan for the two bedrooms offering a lot of privacy to each, and the living/dining/kitchen area is open. The views are spectacular from all rooms in the house. This home has everything you need for a wonderful vacation (including Reidel wineglasses which you never usually see in rentals), and is a great value for a smaller group. We would highly recommend it and will hopefully be back!

    We are already planning to return. The property was awesome. It's walking distance to the village of Arroyo Seco which had a great artist community. It's also within a 20 minute drive to Taos and some wonderful restaurants.
    The house was more than large enough for our family of four. It seemed to be a new construction. The layout was fantastic. Their were large open windows on three sides of every room for a great panoramic view of the mountains. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. It was great not to have to eat out everyday.
    The cabin was very warm due to radiant floor heating and a wooden stove. Very important to us southerners after an exhausting day on the mountain.
    The only suggestion I would have is to include some heat lamps right above the hot tub. As much as we wanted to enjoy it, it was just too cold.

    This home is extremely comfortable and the views of the mountains are spectacular. It was great to be able to set up the laptop in the office area to take care of what I needed to. The property is so well cared for and the area is very quiet. So peaceful,
    restful and serene. Well, except for when there is a thunder and lightening show over the mountains - then it is a good time to sit under the portal with a nice glass of wine and watch the skyworks! Am looking forward to another stay.
