Purple Mountains, Blue Skies, and Magpies. Oh My!

Casa de Legado is an exquisitely designed and decorated home that immediately puts you in a Taos state-of-mind. It has so many unique design elements, inside and out, that capture your attention and create a positive vibe throughout the property. The house is very well-appointed with upscale furnishings, appliances, and technology, if you choose to stay on the grid during your visit. You will want to take advantage of the outdoor spaces around the house as much as possible to enjoy the mountain and mesa views as well as the brilliant blue skies. The sage scent off the mesa and the rustling of the aspens also delight the senses. The large black-and-white magpies, who visit primarily in the mornings, stage a comic tableau of sight and sound as they jostle and argue for the "best" positions among the trees and adobe walls. The layout of the house, patio, and courtyards ensures a sense of privacy, but being near a paved road leading straight to Taos, the ski valley, and Enchanted Circle drive is certainly convenient. Watching the mountains fade to purple in the evenings and seeing the pop-up showers approaching from across the mesa were two favorite activities among the many we enjoyed at Casa de Legado.
